The Most Dangerous Job

Chapter 8 of Fast Food Nation was really eye opening .  On pg. 171 Schlosser discusses in detail the slaughtering of animals.  Although by no means a vegetarian, I found really disturbing to read.  The details in short, included, shooting the animal twice, grabbing its hind legs and then chain lifting the animal into the air.  After reading this chapter, I definitely will now think twice before taking that first bite of meat.
