Although I want my site to be creative and unique, I mostly want my site to have easy navigation. I have some great ideas and interactives, but they need all linked nicely. Some ideas I received from other people's sites are:
1) Using hyperlinks all over your introduction paragraph on the index page so that a viewer can read through the paragraph and click on any subject within the text that interest them.
2) I loved when people used the pictures that changed face when the mouse roamed over it.
3) On one of the site, a person used the same top "bar" on each page that had three links: personal page, classwork page, and essay home page. That's easy.
4) A lot of the essays had thorough annotated bibliography pages with a single link on the intro page. Again, simple and easy to find.
5) I like a little more writing on one page than many of the example sites had shown. I want to encorporate a little substance than design.

I agree with your first point for sure, it really helps to peak the reader's interests when seeing a keyword that they might now know too much abotu or might interest them. I'm like you too, I don't want my site to look like it was an easy setup. Don't forget, though, that substance and design work together as one, my son. Peace
I think having a site with easy navigation is a good idea, I also agree with your first point on creating links to certain key words. I also think its good that you want to include more content, more interesting substance is always good
i like the concept of keeping the site relatively simple. It can be eay to get carried away with a bunch of features and then it gets to be distracting and annoying rather than interesting and different. i am trying to embrace the whole "less is more" thing...i think using the keywords and simple links will be effective enough.
