Plans For My Site
While viewing several of the selected student hypertexts on Mark Bousquet's website, I noticed a few things that I would like to incorporate on my own hypertext website. First of all, I love the use of the black background and large image on the introduction page (as seen on "Child Scavengers" and "Child Labor"). The black really made the image pop out at the viewer and help to grab their attention. I also liked that the links were below the large image in a small font so as not to take away from the image/title. I also noticed that when student's used the same layout and background color for each page of the website, it helped to prevent the viewer from getting distracted or lost. Everything seemed to stay clear, simple, and organized. I would like to imitate all of these things onto my own website.

i agree with you- the black background really brought out the image and (usually) red or yellow title sharp & into focus. I am also a fan of using the same layout- im not a fan of change. but at the same time with all the engaging pictures & good text you don't have to worry about boring the readers either.
