Ideas gotten from other sites
1. I like the central picture with wors surrounding it, it seems to bring the focus of the
website around a strong picture.
2. I also like the way the picture changed on the scavenger site, it provides an
opportunity to convery a strong shock message that will grab the reader's attention.
3. The use of flash buttons are hot and cold for me, as some grab my attention while
others tend to be too gimmiky. If i do use them, I want them to look as professional
as possible, and not cartoonish.
4. I like title pages, it seems as if it provides a door for entering into my website. I just
have to amke sure that it is a strong page with hopefully some dark colored
backgrounds to provide a lot of contrast to whatever I am trying to present in the
middle.
5. I hated how on some sites I had to scroll sideways to view the whole page or see
what I was reading. i want to make my website fit into screens so that the only time
one does have to scroll, they are scrolling down to read what is written. Pictures that
are cut off are also a big nuisance to what I am trying to do.

I agree with what you said about title pages, I think they are very useful. I also agree with what you said about scrolling sideways.
The contrast on pages is very nice, but sometimes looking at so many dark pages get old, sometimes contrasting colors don't have to be light and dark...
sounds like you are well on your way
I agree with you that a site like this should look professional. A tacky looking site will distract the viewer, and take away from their ability to understand the content.
I agree with the use of flash buttons. Most of the time they don't fit in. If they are used sparingly, then they make a difference, but some sites overuse them.
